Named for the Southern Crescent Streamliner, which has been running from Charlottesville to New Orleans since the 19th century, The Southern Crescent Galley and Bar takes you on a journey to the Crescent City without leaving home.

A family-owned and operated restaurant, The Southern Crescent brings you classic cuisine from Louisiana, the Caribbean, and other parts South.

Our bar program specializes in classic tiki and tropical concoctions, as well as New Orleans classics, made from fresh-squeezed juices, fine spirits, and house-made syrups, cordials, shrubs, and infusions.

We offer indoor and outdoor dining, including an intimate bar room featuring the area’s most extensive rum collection, as well as Charlottesville’s best outdoor seating, with a covered patio, private cabanas, and open-air fire pits.
